Reloj Vase

Inspired by the shape of an hourglass, the Reloj Vase is handcrafted with a mixture of local clays, wheel-thrown, and glazed only in the inside. The finished product has gorgeous earth tones and textures, resulting from the different clays exposed to the heat of the kiln fire. Because each vase is produced from a unique combination of clays, there can be a wide range of tones, making each piece truly unique.

In collaboration with small artisan workshops, Al Centro Cerámica designer Michele de Alba creates wheel-thrown clay ceramics with clean lines and textured, tactile exteriors. Her work draws from the pottery traditions of Jalisco and Guanajuato—two regions in Mexico highly regarded for their craftsmanship.
