The term for a popular place to grab a bite to eat and a drink, botaneros originated in the coastal state of Colima, Mexico. The menu typically includes a variety of snacks, or botanas, like fried tacos and ceviche tostadas, along with local alcoholic drinks, like pomegranate punch.

Create your own botanero right at home with these artisan-made bowls, crafted from 100% Rosa Morada wood. Just fill them with snacks, welcome some friends, and enjoy.

Siblings Maria and Santiago named Chechen Wood Design after the Chechén tree, which typically lives to more than 100 years old. Their mission is to breathe new life into wood offcuts by transforming them into handmade dishes and tabletop accessories as functional as they are beautiful.
